Kutztown University
"Unrivaled Past, Unlimited Future"

Kutztown University's beautiful award-winning campus provides the perfect backdrop for success.  Founded in 1865 as a teacher's college, Kutztown has a long and distinguished history among Pennsylvania institutions of higher education.  Today, four vibrant colleges offer students more than 100 majors from which to choose in the fields of Education, Business, Liberal Arts & Sciences, or Visual & Performing Arts.  The University's accomplished professors are leading experts and practitioners in their fields, sharing a strong commitment to teaching and a focus on engaging KU students in their studies.

KU Grads

It's easy to pursue both academic and athletic excellence at Kutztown.  The University's Division II intercollegiate teams and intramural and club sports programs offer plenty of opportunities to play and compete, or simply to enjoy being a fan of the Golden Bears.

KU is large enough to be comprehensive, yet small and personal enough to ensure students the educational opportunities they need to prepare for a successful career.  Complete with smart classrooms, modern labs, studios, living-learning communities and athletic facilities, KU provides students with an outstanding experience from their first day on campus to the day they celebrate their graduation.

"There is no question I made the right choice in earning my degree at Kutztown. Looking back, it was the best decision I could have made. I received an extraordinary education in a very encouraging and supportive setting -- by faculty who truly care. There is no better place in Pennsylvania."
-- Caryn Kunkle '04, Fine Arts

Kutztown University's 72,000 alumni are living proof of the excellence of a KU education.  They can be found throughout Pennsylvania and around the world, making a difference in medicine, law, business, education, human services, the arts and many more professions.  Through the generosity and dedication of these graduates, along with the University's many other stakeholders, the campus has grown and matured while remaining true to its mission.  As we look ahead, we realize that furthering our goals will depend on increased support from donors and friends who believe in the capacity of KU students and graduates to be a force for positive change around the world. KU Grads

The following pages demonstrate how KU supporters can make an enormous difference and leave a lasting legacy.  The academic, residential and athletic facilities on campus provide a host of naming opportunities.  Donors can commemorate their own fond memories, or honor a family member or loved one, in venues that will proclaim their allegiance to Kutztown for generations to come.  We welcome your interest in supporting our efforts to maintain this forward momentum as KU launches into an unlimited future.

Learning Places and Special Spaces

KU BuildingKutztown University's academic buildings contain a variety of teaching venues ranging from seminar rooms to large lecture halls.  There are typical classrooms as well as labs with specialized equipment for the sciences, languages, arts and crafts. Students can gather and work in collaborative learning spaces or lounges.

Each of the four Colleges has a Dean's suite of offices, and most of the academic buildings have certain specialty spaces, such as the theater in Schaeffer Auditorium or the Multi-Purpose room in the McFarland Student Union building.  In addition, the campus includes athletic fields for team and club sports, coaches' offices and competition facilities such as the Keystone Arena.

The table below provides a guideline for suggested philanthropic contributions to pursue naming opportunities at Kutztown University.  The amounts are generally based on the size and location of the space, the amount of internal and external traffic, uniqueness of the venue and other intangible factors such as the beauty, popularity or emotional appeal of particular locations.  This is not a comprehensive list of every building on the KU campus, but it includes many of the most visible and appealing naming opportunities.
